Spartans Centennial Tournament

The Spartans Centennial Tournament brings local teams together this September for players aged 7–9 and 10–13. With a round-robin format, every team plays the same number of games with no early eliminations.

Final placements are announced at the end of each day so all players can celebrate their achievements together. It’s a high-energy weekend focused on skill development, positive competition, and community.

About the Tournament

The Spartans Centennial Tournament uses a round-robin format so every team plays the same number of games, giving all players maximum touches and meaningful playing time.

Teams develop speed of play, decision-making, and teamwork in a positive, low-pressure environment. This community-focused event is designed to create great memories and help young players grow at Washago Centennial Park.

What to Expect & What's Included

  • Fast-paced 5v5 games (including goalkeeper)

  • Team Shirt included — every player receives a custom Spartans shirt with their chosen number

Awards & Recognition

At the end of each day we celebrate every team’s effort with medals for all players. Different medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place.

Match Format & Rules

  • Match duration: 2 × 20 minutes

  • Format: 5v5 (goalie + 4 field players)

  • Round-robin format — every team plays every other team once

  • Short, high-tempo games built for energy, decision-making, and fun

  • Final team placements announced at the end of each day based on points and tiebreakers

Player Entry Fee: $45

Limited spots available. Registration closes: August 22, 2026

Two-Day Schedule

Saturday – Ages 7-9 (U9)
Sunday – Ages 10-13 (U13)
  • 8:30 AM – Check-In & Warm-Up: Teams arrive, register, and complete light warm-ups.


  • 9:00 AM – Round-Robin Matches Begin: Games start with two matches running at the same time. Every team will play three games throughout the day.


  • 11:30 AM – Lunch & Break: Teams rest, eat, and recharge. On-site merch will be available.


  • 12:15 PM – Round-Robin Continues: Remaining matches are played with two games running simultaneously.


  • 2:00 PM – Final Matches & Standings: Last round of games finish. Final placements are calculated.


  • 2:30 PM – Awards Ceremony: Medals and team photos as final placements are announced.

Expected finish time each day: Aproximately 3:00 PM
