Step into the fresh Muskoka air with Simcoe Spartans Outdoor Soccer—our unique spring/summer program designed to blend high-energy training with the beauty of nature at Washago Centennial Park.
For ages 6–13, this series takes the best of our indoor futsal (technical skills, quick thinking, teamwork) and amps it up with outdoor freedom: grass fields and open-space game.
It's more than soccer—it's about building resilience, friendships, and a love for the game under the sun, with heroic Spartan themes tying in local trees, lakes, and warrior vibes for an unforgettable adventure.

At Simcoe Spartans, all sessions are led by Head Coach Sam, a passionate and experienced youth coach dedicated to creating fun, inclusive, and skill-building soccer experiences.
With Ontario Soccer Grassroots training, and years of hands-on work training kids ages 6–13, Coach Sam brings high energy, positive mentorship, and a focus on teamwork to every session.
Occasionally supported by skilled volunteer assistants, our small coaching team ensures personalized attention and a safe, supportive environment for every player.

Our program welcomes children ages 6–9 and 10–13 in a co-ed environment. Age exceptions may be made based on skill level, size, or physical strength to ensure balanced, positive groups that suit each player's development.

Sessions are held at Washago Centennial Park—a scenic outdoor spot with plenty of space for dynamic play. The program kicks off May 5 for 10 weeks, Tuesday evenings. Ages 6–9 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, & ages 10–13 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Full Schedule below.

Each age group is capped at 16 players to provide personalized attention and plenty of ball touches for every child. The full-season fee is $180 per player and includes a custom Spartan training Jersey with the players name, number, and Spartan crest.
$25 family discount for each additional sibling.
$50 discount for current Spartan players.

Experience a fresh twist on Spartans training with outdoor drills, small-sided games, and unique Muskoka-themed challenges that build agility, strategy, and endurance.
Sessions include skill progression (dribbling, passing, defending), fun team-building activities (like relay races or parent-involved scrimmages), weekly highlights shared on social media, and an end-of-season celebrations.
By program's end, kids gain improved technical skills, a deeper love for soccer, fun memories, and stronger team bonds—all while enjoying the outdoors.

Players should wear comfortable athletic gear, cleats or running shoes suitable for grass, and bring a water bottle (shin guards recommended).
Safety is priority with zero tolerance for rough play, disrespect, or inappropriate behavior—any suspected injury must be reported immediately, and medical clearance may be required to return.
Commit to sessions when possible; notify Coach Sam for absences. Weather cancellations will be rescheduled (rain dates or indoor backups if needed).
Photos and videos may be used for promotion and social media. All levels are welcome—from beginners to rep players—in an inclusive and adaptive environment for everyone.
